Working Directory.txt
=====================

One of the options in PTS toolkit is where the File "Open",
File "Save and File "Save As" look for files.

In the "shortcut" you use to start PTS toolkit applications
(e.g. the start menu, icon on screen etc.) there is a setting
called "start in". This lists the directory where these file
menu options start from.

Normally this is the same directory as the .EXE file was
installed to but you can change it. You can have many
different icons with different "start in" (working directory)
- for example one for each project you are involved in.

However some people prefer the directory these file menu
options start from to be the one from last time they used the
toolkit. This overrides the "start in" setting - and this is
the default way the toolkit works.

The option that controls this behaviour is found in the
Options dialog on the Tools menu. It is on the Settings tab
of the Editor and Terminal, and on the only tab in the 'Scope.
It is called "remember working directory".

By default this is set to YES (on) so the current directory is
always remembered - if you are saving settings all the time
(another configuration option in the Options dialog).

If you want the "start in" box on the shortcut to work then
turn the "remember working directory" setting off (and save
settings).

All three applications remember this separately - and so can
have separate working directories.
